Killing Mechanism

Silver Nanoparticles anchor to the bacterial cell wall and penetrate it, causing structural damage to the cell membrane. The positively charged ions from silver nanoparticles form free radicals that bring about an instantaneous death of the cell.

In comparison to other salts, silver nanoparticles show efficient antimicrobial property because of their large surface area providing better contact with the microorganisms.

Hydrogen peroxide is a widely used antimicrobial chemical. It is used in both liquid and gas form for preservative, disinfection, and sterilization applications. Its advantages include its potent and broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, flexibility in use, and a better safety profile in comparison to other micro-biocides.

Hydrogen peroxide has been shown to be effective against all forms of microorganisms, including dormant forms with known high resistance, such as bacterial spores and protozoal cysts, and infectious proteins such as prions. Its biggest advantage, with regard to its toxicity and environmental protection, is its 100% Bio-degradable property. It breaks down to water and oxygen when exposed to light.

Overall, the effective and safe use of hydrogen peroxide depends largely on the way it is used, particularly the concentration and contact time. Thus, a systematic environment monitoring and evaluation of the bioload is extremely useful in order to optimize the concentrations for different levels of contamination.

Removal of Biofilm

A ‘biofilm’ comprises any syntrophic consortium of microorganisms in which cells stick to each other and often also to a surface. These adherent cells become embedded within a slimy extracellular matrix that is composed of extracellular polymeric substances. The cells within the biofilm produce the EPS components, which are typically a polymeric conglomeration of extracellular polysaccharides, proteins, lipids, and DNA. Because they have a three-dimensional structure and represent a community lifestyle for microorganisms, they have been metaphorically described as ‘cities for microbes’.

Surface Disinfection

Surfaces like floors, table-tops, door handles, doors, etc., are often contaminated with harmful microbes like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. Use ARGËSIL in mopping or spraying over all types of surfaces. It is odourless, colourless, and free from alcohol. ARGËSIL is highly effective over all types of microorganisms when used in right concentration. Follow ‘directions of use’ as prescribed. Available in ready-to-use and concentrate forms for ease of use and better versatility.

Air Disinfection

Air disinfection is critical for sterilization and disinfection in medical setups, pharma cleanrooms, food & beverage industries, dairy and animal husbandry, etc. The fumigation is often performed to kill microbes that are suspended in air and keep building inside hard-to-reach spaces and corners. Fumes not only reach such areas but also remain on such surfaces when entire area is filled with them. It is recommended to fumigate and to keep the premises sealed for 20-30 mins for the best disinfection result. Follow dilution instructions carefully. Water Treatment

Private swimming pools, public pools in Gymkhanas, resorts, etc are highly prone for infectious disease if not disinfected regularly. Most of such pools are disinfected using chlorine-based products which are extremely harmful to human skin, eyes and hair. Water storage tanks on the other hand is highly prone for biofilm formation, thus requires periodic cleaning & disinfection. Use Argesil as per recommended dilution and directions to use. WHY ARGESIL?



ARGËSIL decomposes into water and oxygen, leaving behind no chemical residue. This is unlike other chemical-based sanitizers and disinfectants which leave behind a coating of toxic and harmful chemicals over surfaces.

ARGËSIL is made up of Silver Nanoparticles of unique size and shape, it does not form into a cluster of microparticles unlike other Silver salts or colloidal Silver formulations. It provides continuous killing & all-day protection.

ARGËSIL is completely Alcohol-Free which is important when it comes to disinfecting electronic devices. It's also usable, therefore, for applications where alcohol is forbidden, e.g. in worship places and in religious customs.

Exposure to nitrates & nitrites at a level higher than that recommended by WHO can affect how the blood carries oxygen and can cause methemoglobinemia (also known as Blue Baby Syndrome). Bottle-fed babies under six months old are at the highest risk of getting methemoglobinemia.
